According to estimates from Marine Energy Wales, the NEEC is projected to produce over £270 million in direct economic impact for the local region. This figure skyrockets to more than £500 million when factoring in additional supply chain benefits. Moreover, hundreds of jobs will be generated during the construction and early operation of the facility, with predictions of over 70 permanent roles once the center reaches its full operational capacity.
