After leading the company for five years, Martin Adler will remain with N-Sea in a different capacity, continuing as a shareholder and Chairman of the Advisory Board. Adler expressed his thoughts on the transition, stating, “After more than five years leading N-Sea following its acquisition by CapitalChange in 2021, we have achieved the key objectives set out to accomplish, and I believe that it is the right moment to hand over leadership.”

Nelemans takes over at a pivotal time for N-Sea. Under Adler’s leadership, the company has significantly strengthened its services, including survey operations, unexploded ordnance identification and clearance, cable repair and installation, infrastructure repair and maintenance (IRM), construction, and decommissioning activities. This expansion has solidified N-Sea’s reputation as a trusted provider in international markets.

As of June 15, the new CEO’s leadership will not be a solo endeavor. The day-to-day operations will be overseen by the management team, including Nelemans and Ann Porte, the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), ensuring continuity and stability as they move forward.

Before stepping into this new role, Nelemans brought a wealth of experience from his previous positions with Dockwise and Boskalis, where he held senior leadership roles. His background includes serving as Managing Director of Heavy Marine Transport and Director of Estimating and Engineering Offshore, experiences that are likely to prove invaluable as he navigates N-Sea’s future direction.

Nelemans shared his gratitude towards Adler, saying, “I would like to sincerely thank Martin Adler for his outstanding leadership and the strong foundation he has built over the past years. Under his guidance, N-Sea has evolved into a high-performing, ambitious and forward-looking subsea services provider, with a clear strategic direction and strong market positioning.” His remarks signify a respect for the past while looking forward to the challenges ahead.

With ambitious plans laid out, Nelemans has emphasized a commitment to international expansion, innovation, operational excellence, and long-term value creation for customers and stakeholders. This focus on delivering smart solutions and maintaining high performance standards indicates a promising direction for N-Sea as it continues to adapt in an ever-evolving subsea market.
