Swiss Tech Group Enhances Portfolio with Acquisition of Subsea Company

In a strategic move to enhance its capabilities in the subsea sector, the Swiss technology group Rosenxt Group has acquired Houston-based Zupt. This transaction is aimed at strengthening Rosenxt’s portfolio of technologies and engineering solutions tailored for the subsea market.

Founded in 2005, Zupt specializes in subsea metrology, advanced 3D subsea inspection, and offshore survey engineering, focusing on the technologies that support renewable offshore installations. The acquisition is expected to significantly complement Rosenxt’s existing capabilities, particularly in advanced navigation, positioning, and autonomous technologies.

Keith Vickery, Founder and President of Zupt, expressed the excitement around this transition: “For nearly twenty years, Zupt has focused on solving some of the subsea industry’s most demanding marine construction and inspection challenges through innovative engineering, operational experience and close collaboration with our customers,” he said. “Becoming part of Rosenxt marks an exciting new chapter for our company, our employees and our customers.” This partnership promises a shared commitment to innovation, aiming to make offshore operations safer, smarter, and more efficient.

Rosenxt has been on a growth trajectory, having acquired other firms to broaden its subsea and offshore offerings. The earlier acquisitions of Beam in 2025 and K.U.M. Umwelt- und Meerestechnik Kiel GmbH have already given the group a more integrated approach. This latest addition from Zupt enhances their ability to provide comprehensive solutions throughout the lifecycle of offshore and subsea assets, from front-end engineering design (FEED) to long-term operation, inspection, integrity assessment, and decommissioning.

Chris Yoxall, the CEO of Realization at Rosenxt, commented on the significance of this acquisition: “This acquisition supports our strategy of providing customers with integrated Advanced Technological Service solutions that combine robotics, sensing, engineering expertise, and intelligent data provisions.” The focus is shifting toward connected solutions rather than isolated technologies, making this integration crucial for the future of subsea operations.

Rosenxt is redefining the landscape of subsea engineering, and with Zupt’s proprietary technologies and extensive operational experience, they are poised to deliver more cohesive solutions. The combination of these innovative capabilities will help clients execute projects more efficiently and enhance decision-making processes throughout their asset lifecycle.
