Inspired by a Golden Era
The design of Conductor is rooted in nostalgia, drawing inspiration from the golden age of rail travel and Moorish architecture. This vision is beautifully encapsulated in the central atrium of the building, a space designed to evoke the grandeur of historic palm courts. The atrium not only serves as a visual centerpiece but also shapes the overall spatial experience, inviting visitors to feel as if they’ve stepped into a unique realm of productivity.
A Warm Welcome
As you enter the space, the goal was to create an atmosphere that surprises visitors, making them question whether they’ve stepped into a workplace or a welcoming café. Tabitha Organ, the founder of Tabitha Isobel, emphasized this intention: “We wanted people to walk in and be surprised that it was a workplace.” This feeling is immediately evident as the design melds work with elements of hospitality, offering a casual comfort that many offices lack.
A Touch of Nature
One of the standout features of Conductor is its integration of biophilic design. Lush planting interspersed throughout the workspace introduces a sense of tranquility and connection to nature, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the space. The chosen colour palette, with shades of rust, amber, and ochre, not only reflects the surrounding Coppermaker Works development but also complements the verdant planting.

The layout of Conductor is organized into various functional areas, including a café, reception, library, and a unique conversation pit. Each zone is characterized by distinct spatial qualities and finishes, creating a tapestry of experiences.
