Monaco Yacht Show 2025: Cutting-edge Designs, Luxury, and a Sustainable Future

Set to take place from 24–27 September 2025 at Port Hercule, the Monaco Yacht Show returns as the crown jewel of the superyacht calendar. With 109 yachts confirmed, over 560 industry exhibitors, and new sustainability initiatives under the Blue Wake programme, the 34th edition promises not just luxury, but leadership in shaping yachting’s future.

    Port Hercule: A Legendary Stage

Carved into Monaco’s coastline at the foot of the Prince’s Palace, Port Hercule is as iconic as the vessels it welcomes. Steeped in history and engineered for scale, this deep-water marina boasts 700 berths, a semi-floating seawall, and proximity to Monte Carlo’s famed casinos and Michelin-star restaurants. It’s also home to the striking Yacht Club de Monaco, offering a commanding view of the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit below the Ermanno Palace. Come September, it becomes the epicenter of the global yachting elite.

Superyacht Showcase: From Speed to Sustainability

Among the most talked-about yachts on the docket is “Breakthrough,” a 118.8-metre Feadship launched in 2025 and powered by green hydrogen. Built around a bold brief—“What kind of green technology can you include?”—Breakthrough features liquid hydrogen storage cooled to -253°C, allowing zero-diesel operation across both propulsion and hotel loads.

At the opposite end of the scale is a 20-metre firecracker: the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, an ultralight carbon-fibre superboat with dual 2000HP MAN V12s, boasting a top speed of 63 knots and sporting automotive styling to match. It’s an unapologetic display of Italian flair and speed, courtesy of The Italian Sea Group, which oversees Admiral, Perini Navi, and Picchiotti.

    Tenders That Turn Heads

The luxury doesn’t stop at mothership scale. The Monaco Yacht Show’s Adventure Area will highlight over 50 tenders and toys, including the CNM Continental 54 (18.85 metres)—a high-performance Arneson-driven craft with twin MAN I6s delivering up to 47 knots. With nearly 20 tonnes of displacement, this is a tender in name only. At the other end of the scale is the EVENE Origin (5.7 metres)—a compact nine-seater diesel tender from Evene Marine, ideal for yachts 30m+.

These craft underscore how “tender” no longer means “secondary.”

    The Big Names Return

As always, the docks will be filled with familiar names: Benetti, Lürssen, Princess, Wally, Sunreef, Vitters, Baglietto, Riviera, Baltic Yachts, and dozens more. From coatings (AkzoNobel, Awlgrip) to systems (Furuno, ABB) to refit giants and naval architects, the exhibitor list reads like a global directory of yachting expertise.

    Spotlight on Innovation

The Yacht Design & Innovation Hub returns for 2025, offering live talks, designer showcases, and an immersive digital experience by VBH that brings next-gen interiors and systems to life. Hosted in partnership with SuperYacht Times, it’s the place where concept becomes blueprint—and blueprint becomes commission.

Sustainability in Focus: The Blue Wake Programme

With growing pressure on the sector to reduce its footprint, MYS 2025 doubles down on eco-responsibility. The Blue Wake programme, developed with the Water Revolution Foundation, highlights verified sustainable technologies throughout the show—from propulsion systems and energy storage to hull coatings and onboard systems.

Winners of the inaugural Blue Wake Awards will be revealed during the Grand Opening Night on 23 September, setting the tone for a show increasingly shaped by environmental leadership.

The Monaco Yacht Summit: Ideas That Matter

Kicking off on Wednesday 24 September at 10:30 AM, the Monaco Yacht Summit and Opening Conference gather stakeholders to debate the future of yachting. From new ownership models to ESG pressures, the dialogue aims to bridge the gap between clients, designers, and policymakers. Attendance is free with a valid show badge.

    VIP Access: The Sapphire Experience

For buyers and serious prospects, the Sapphire Experience offers curated access to the show, including private viewings, gala evenings, and behind-the-scenes networking aboard the most prestigious yachts. It’s a rarefied path into the heart of the yachting world—and a smart one for anyone planning a new build or acquisition.
