In-Depth Examination of the 80m Bilgin 263 Superyacht Al Reem

A Closer Look at Al Reem: The Final Gem of Bilgin Yachts’ 263 Series

Turkish shipyard Bilgin Yachts has unveiled an exciting glimpse into the world of luxury yachting with its latest masterpiece, Al Reem. At an impressive 80.1 meters, Al Reem is the third and final unit in the prestigious Bilgin 263 series, recently delivered to her owners in July, and has since enjoyed a triumphant summer cruising the picturesque Turkish coastline.

    A Legacy of Excellence

Al Reem was initially known as Project Silence during her build phase, evolving from the acclaim of her predecessors. The first unit, Tatiana, made waves as the largest yacht ever constructed in Turkey at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show. Following closely, Leona, the second unit delivered in 2023, clinched accolades at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards for her remarkable exterior design. Notably, Al Reem stands as the yard’s most customized creation yet, featuring nearly 100GT more volume than her siblings, complemented by a 20% increase in exterior decking.

    Design, Comfort, and Tranquility

Drawing on the elegant aesthetic of Unique Yacht Design, Al Reem boasts a slender profile accentuated by interiors crafted by British studio H2 Yacht Design. The yacht’s design philosophy is rooted in the owner’s mantra of “less is more,” striving for a minimalist approach that enhances tranquility and bespoke wellness aboard.

While the visual details of Al Reem remain under wraps, it’s said that her interior features a calming color palette of cream, white, and beige, inviting a sense of openness and airiness. One noteworthy innovation is the removal of the traditional bar area in the main saloon, replaced with a bespoke art installation, allowing uninterrupted views from the aft through to a custom waterfall that cascades gracefully into the foredeck jacuzzi.

    Impressive Amenities and Layout

The exterior of Al Reem showcases a foredeck meticulously crafted from teak, with a striking superstructure that blends metallic grey-white with black accents. More than just visual appeal, it offers a fresh layout that enhances living spaces and incorporates an array of technical improvements. The upper deck is longer, providing additional covered living areas, while the owner’s deck has been strategically positioned on the main deck to maximize privacy and views.

Guest accommodations comprise two VIP cabins on the main deck and three cabins on the lower deck, all connected by an elevator for easy access. The owner’s deck also features stunning 300-degree views, along with an outdoor terrace and jacuzzi area, ensuring every moment spent on board is filled with comfort and luxury.

    Unparalleled Relaxation and Wellness

The beach club aboard Al Reem is a standout feature, equipped with an innovative “shell door” that opens to a private massage area, accompanied by a dedicated steam room and integrated sauna in the gym. Notably, the yacht is designed with advanced sound insulation and a stabilizer-equipped bed in the master suite, emphasizing a commitment to relaxation.

On the technical front, Al Reem includes a new ventilation system and increased generator capacity. She is capable of cruising at a maximum speed of 19 knots, powered by twin 2,560 kW engines, and can cover an economical range of 6,000 nautical miles, making her well-suited for long-distance cruising.

    A Testament to Craftsmanship

“To conclude the 263 trilogy with such a uniquely personalized vessel—one that has already garnered technical awards for its complexity and quality—is a testament to our shipyard’s capability to deliver the owner’s most demanding visions for tranquillity and luxury,” shared Ismail Şengün, CEO of Bilgin Yachts.

Looking ahead, BOATPro reports that Bilgin Yachts has a promising order book with 12 yachts currently in various stages of production, including eight units in its 52-meter Bilgin 170 series, with the first hull expected to launch technically in February 2024.

With Al Reem, Bilgin Yachts has not only showcased their expertise but has set a higher standard for luxury yachting, embodying innovation, sophistication, and a commitment to creating spaces that prioritize relaxation and well-being on the open water.
