A Grand Unveiling in Italy
On July 15, 2023, Silvia made her debut at The Italian Sea Group’s facilities in Marina di Carrara, Italy. The ceremony marked a significant milestone not only for the yacht itself but also for her owner and his dedicated team. Standing tall at four decks, Silvia is the second hull in the Admiral Panorama semi-custom series from Admiral Yachts. With a Length Overall (LOA) of 175’6” (53.5 meters), she follows the launch of her predecessor, the 164-foot (50-meter) yacht Spribe, which was recently delivered.
The journey of Silvia began with the keel laying in April 2024, following extensive discussions between the owner’s team and the build and design teams. The aim was clear: to create a yacht that perfectly aligns with the owner’s distinct lifestyle.
Innovative Design Elements
What truly sets Silvia apart is her unusual four-deck configuration, a rare feature for a superyacht of her size. This ambitious design offers an exclusive space known as the Observatory Deck, providing stunning panoramic views, whether anchored or cruising. Accessible via a stairway from the sundeck, this distinctive feature highlights the owner’s desire for a yacht that breaks traditional molds.
Furthermore, the well-planned layout includes an elevator that connects the sundeck to the remaining three decks. This thoughtful addition ensures that family and friends residing in the five staterooms on the lower deck can easily access the sun-drenched sundeck, creating a seamless flow of leisure and companionship.
Privacy has also been prioritised, with a personal alfresco balcony attached to the owner’s suite on the main deck. While specific details about the interior décor remain under wraps, the owner enlisted RADYCA, a renowned design studio, to bring a contemporary look and feel to Silvia‘s living spaces.
Opulent Amenities and Sustainable Power
In addition to her aesthetic appeal, Silvia offers a wealth of luxurious amenities. The vessel features a sunken pool, opening side platforms, and ample outdoor spaces designed for sunbathing and social gatherings. These elements ensure that every experience onboard is both enjoyable and refreshing.
Sustainability is also a key consideration in her design. Silvia operates with a diesel-electric propulsion system, enhancing her environmental efficiency. When anchored, a robust battery bank can supply power for all hotel functions for up to eight hours, allowing for a quieter, more eco-friendly experience. While cruising, the twin MAN main engines, paired with electric alternators, efficiently handle the yacht’s air conditioning and other essential services, all while allowing the generator sets to be turned off.
A Long-Standing Relationship
The launch of Silvia carries a sentimental value for Frank Grzeszczak Sr., the founder and chairman of FGI Yacht Group, who has known the owner for nearly three decades. Having collaborated on multiple projects, including three new constructions, Grzeszczak expresses that being a part of this journey—from conception to launch—has been incredibly fulfilling.
“I have worked alongside the owner for more than 28 years on seven deals,” he notes, highlighting the strong bond forged through years of collaboration.
