With launch and delivery expected in 2030, the yacht Project Ananda promises buyers an elevated wellbeing experience. It extends beyond massage treatments in a serene spa, too.

The yacht Project Ananda is the latest spec superyacht from Heesen Yachts, yet represents a new direction in a few ways. Firstly, the 237-footer (72-meter) reflects a different profile for its offerings. While still long and sleek, the five decks feature bevels, with the bow softer as well. All are due to the work of Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. According to Heesen, its engineering team and the studio partnered early on, when the shipyard wanted to create a new Smart Custom series build. This innovative approach affords clients a set hull design and engineering package while allowing for input into superstructure styling.

Additionally, the new direction embraces a different way of living. For the past several years, the majority of megayachts have prioritized alfresco relaxation and entertainment, with pools at the center of open-air beach areas often touted as wellness amenities. Though Project Ananda features a pool clad in travertine marble, the Sinot studio has reframed the wellness focus, offering an expansive wellness suite of about 1,076 square feet (100 square meters). This suite is designed to include an ice bath, a snow shower, a medical treatment room that doubles as a massage space, and both a sauna and steam room. For diving enthusiasts, plans are also in place for a hyperbaric chamber, enhancing the wellness experience.

Traditionally, the entrance experience on a yacht can feel impersonal, with guests often funneled into a central lobby or lounge. Project Ananda reimagines this journey, opting for a more intimate arrival. Instead of a central entry point, the 237-footer features an opening platform amidships that leads directly to a glass elevator and spiral staircase. This design allows guests to access their individual staterooms freely, fostering a more personal connection before gathering in shared spaces.

True to its name, which means “inner joy,” Project Ananda promises more unique amenities. For instance, it boasts a teppanyaki bar situated right by the pool, cleverly designed with the same travertine marble that envelops the pool area, aesthetically uniting the two spaces. The owners’ deck is versatile, offering private alfresco areas in two layouts—either forward or aft. Additionally, recognizing the needs of modern multi-generational families, a second master suite of comparable size will provide ample accommodation for larger groups.

Looking ahead, the keel laying for Project Ananda is scheduled for November. With engineering calculations and tank testing already underway, Heesen is set to deliver a yacht that promises not only luxury but also a commitment to performance—as evidenced by a best range of 5,000 nautical miles with hybrid propulsion capabilities.
