    The Project:

Monochromatic and bold, Shawn Amtower filled this Marietta home with custom-made materials and blue-chip art, embodying what it means to live in luxury. The project was designed with the clients in mind, who sought an elevated and stylish update reflective of their personality. They envisioned a refined yet approachable dwelling—a sophisticated space focused on quality and thoughtful design. “With no constraints, the project flowed seamlessly from start to finish, thanks to the clients’ open-minded approach and trust in the design process,” reveals Amtower.

    The Design:

Amtower’s design philosophy is exemplified through the minimal yet effective color scheme that predominates the home, featuring shades of black, white, and ivory. This palette allows her personal style to shine, creating an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and inviting. “There were no major challenges in this project, only the need to dig deep creatively and present bold ideas to the client and contractor with clarity and conviction,” she explains. Rather than overwhelming the space with extravagant details, she chose to focus on subtlety—removing excess ornamentation to let architecture, lighting, and art take center stage. The result is a striking, thoughtfully curated home filled with exquisite materials.

    The Details:

An unexpected gem within the home is the lower-level lounge, designed for relaxation and entertainment. “The basement features a custom walnut wood wall from Italy and a marble fireplace that definitely sets a mood and helps to create the high-end hotel feel we were after. This room also features a drop-down projection screen to watch the game, which can be hidden when the mood shifts. No need to leave the house, as it has everything—the golf simulator, sauna, full gym, and a stunning collection of art that adds the finishing touch,” Amtower notes, highlighting the multi-functional nature of this sophisticated space.
