Transition at Sirena Yachts: New Leadership and Expansion Plans
After an impressive eight-year tenure, Constantinos K. Constantinou is stepping down from his role at the helm of Sirena Yachts USA. His successor, Ensar Çabuk, has already begun laying the groundwork for the brand’s continued growth, not just within the United States, but also extending beyond American borders.
A Strong Foundation in the U.S. Market
Sirena Yachts, based in Türkiye, has made significant strides in the U.S. market, particularly with its production boat models and flagship series, the Sirena 88. By 2023, a remarkable 40 to 50 percent of the shipyard’s sales originated from American customers. This success is particularly noteworthy given that Sirena Yachts became an independent brand only in 2016, previously supplying the Azimut-Benetti Group and building sailing yachts under its parent company, Sirena Marine.
Ensar Çabuk: A Well-Qualified Replacement
Although Ensar Çabuk is new to the role of leading Sirena Yachts USA, he has substantial experience with the company. Since 2023, he has acted as the country manager for Sirena Yachts USA, operating from Fort Lauderdale. His relationship with the shipyard dates back even further; he was hired as a design engineer in 2011 after earning a master’s degree in yacht design. His background as a naval architect and marine engineer affords him a unique technical perspective, which he has utilized in various capacities, including project management for the Sirena 58 and 64 yachts. More recently, he focused on expanding Sirena’s international dealer network.
Vision for the Future
Çabuk has expressed excitement about the opportunities ahead, emphasizing his ambition to bolster Sirena’s presence across North America and other regions of the Americas. He aims to enhance the dealer network to ensure a robust outreach for the company.
Constantinou’s Role Transition
While Constantinou is stepping down from active management, he will remain with Sirena Yachts as a senior advisor. “I am delighted to see Ensar take the helm,” he stated, underscoring the firm’s growth in the U.S. market during his leadership. His faith in Çabuk’s capabilities is evident; he believes that Çabuk’s deep technical knowledge, commercial experience, and dedication to customer satisfaction will position him well to lead the company into its next chapter.
Upcoming Highlights
The timing of this leadership shift coincides with Sirena Superyachts gearing up to unveil its inaugural project: the Sirena 42M yacht, which recently celebrated its christening. Scheduled for its global debut at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show next month, this project represents a significant step in Sirena Yachts’ ambition to penetrate the larger yacht market. Constantinou has previously noted that the U.S. leads in demand for yachts over 30 meters, and he is optimistic that American buyers will be impressed by Sirena’s innovative design concepts.
Future Innovations
With a renewed focus on innovation and customer engagement, Çabuk aims to create a legacy that builds on the impressive groundwork laid by Constantinou. Sirena Yachts is poised to chart new waters, promising exciting developments on the horizon for both the brand and its clientele.
