According to a senior KTDC official, the rejuvenation plans are comprehensive. The floating jetty will receive a complete overhaul, with decayed wooden elements replaced by durable fiber flooring. To tackle the issue of silt buildup, dredging operations are planned to restore navigable depths. Repairing broken water and electricity supply systems, strengthening corroded support pillars, and enhancing security with CCTV surveillance constitute critical components of the rehabilitation effort.

The impetus for this restoration aligns closely with the government’s ambitious seaplane project aimed at elevating tourism experiences at the Bolgatty waterfront.
