The 2026 Auckland Boat Show, taking place from March 5–8, is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a dazzling line-up of new launches, cutting-edge technology, and international premieres. This year, locally designed and built vessels are leading the charge, showcasing the incredible innovation and craftsmanship coming from New Zealand’s vibrant marine industry.
Premier New Zealand Launches
Among the standout debuts at the show is the elegant Elite Kaeā, a 13.8m vessel designed by Bill Upfold of Elite Marine Design and constructed by Tauranga’s Marra Marine. The Kaeā is a remarkable example of New Zealand’s evolving custom boatbuilding, built to combine offshore confidence with cruising comfort and efficiency — perfect for navigating the Cook Strait.

Offshore Boats New Zealand is unveiling its exciting new 1100 HTC foil-assisted power catamaran, crafted for offshore fishing, diving, and extended cruising. Meanwhile, Hamilton-based Fin Chaser will introduce the Fin Chaser 800 Hard Top, a unique amphibious vessel that is ready for sea trials, marking a new frontier in versatility.
Additionally, Tristram Marine is set to present the latest 821 Offshore model with an APEX Edition specification, showcasing advanced system integration in the trailer boat sector. For those seeking lightweight alternatives, Takacat will debut its ultra-light T220UL inflatable catamaran, which weighs a mere 14kg, making it an enticing option for adventure seekers.
International Premieres to Explore
The Auckland Boat Show will not only spotlight local innovations but also feature several international debuts. Among them is the Grand Banks 54, renowned for its fuel efficiency and design. Other notable premieres include the Finnish-built SARGO 45 adventure cruiser and the Excess 11 performance catamaran.
