One home, two completely different looks. This Cullum Homes recently had a style makeover, transforming an already beautiful modern home into an equally amazing residence that emphasizes warmth and comfort.
Originally built in 2017, the 3,000 square-foot home sported a sleek, modern design characterized by a minimalist aesthetic. When the owner decided to sell the home and relocate elsewhere in the neighborhood, the new owner recognized the potential it held and envisioned a transformation. Although the home was move-in ready and stunning, the new owner wanted to incorporate a personal touch. The team at Cullum Homes was pleasantly surprised by the renovation and fell in love with the project all over again.

The freshly renovated home exudes an inviting ambiance, featuring furniture that highlights a warmer color palette. Collaborating with Amy Studebaker Design, the decor employs colors that mirror the earth’s terrain, complementing the original architecture defined by wood beams lining the ceiling. Studebaker’s selection prioritizes comfort, marrying style and usability beautifully.

The designer’s approach to finishes was uniquely creative. Most cabinetry resembled bespoke furniture pieces, and the eclectic tile selections were sourced from St. Louis—adding a distinctive touch to this Arizona home. The six-month renovation unfolded almost seamlessly, barring a single delay with the primary bath’s tub, which became a notable snag. Yet, the overall transformation from the kitchen to other areas was so remarkable, one might liken it to a night-and-day difference.
A standout feature of the house is the powder bathroom. Adorned with electric wallpaper showcasing vibrant tropical leaves, it contrasts beautifully with a geometric floor design, all tied together by warm wood tones from the mirror frame and sink, making you feel as if you’ve stepped into a tropical paradise.
